Bees trade Blanchette

The Bees and Tulsa Oilers made another deal today, swapping defenseman Adam Blanchette for Josh Garbutt.
Earlier this season, the Bees sent defenseman Mike Looby to the Oilers for Lance Herauf. And last January, RGV acquired David Masse from the Oilers for a guy named Bill Newson.
More details to come later.

Blanchette hasn’t really done that much in the two years he’s been here. He’s young and has a lot ahead of him. But the new guys numbers look a lot better. Hope he doesn’t take as many dum penalties as Blanchette did. Sometimes he didn’t look like he new what to do on the ice and seemed lost.
Javi, You are right on the mark with that comment, but he isn’t the only dman running around out there no knowing what to do. Hopefully we can trade up with a few other ones like we did with this one.

I would recommend that you look at the team stats. They indicate to me that there are other D men that should have been moved first. that being said we moved a D man to get a guy off of team suspension. Are we getting a Prima Dona or head case or a guy that doesn’t want to play to the coaches system?
There wasn’t a lot of tears on the tulsa page of chlforums.
Mike, I agree that there are others who need moved before Blanchette. But why would other teams want to trade for our worse players. I guess if you make a trade and it makes you better then its good. Probably dont see many teams trading there best players for your worst.
Oh, and Mr. Sandman. Your blog is ugly looking. Can you make it better looking to the eyes? I don’t read that fat kid from Corpus’s blog anymore because he’s annoying, but his is prettier. Just a suggestion.
